SunLife CQT System Real-Time Compression Rate & Depth Monitoring
Introduction
A “team-oriented” CPR model called ‘PIT CREW CPR’ has been implemented in the Hospitals and EMS teams in the United States and Europe with leading CPR success rates.
SunLife introduces the Cardiopulmonary Quality Tracker (CQT) software for the PIT CREW CPR model, is a powerful tool for team resuscitation leaders. CQT monitors CPR quality in real time, providing timely guidance and scheduling of all CPR personnel, equipment and elements to provide rapid and most effective CPR protocols, improving CCF, and increasing the success rate of resuscitation.
CQT’s Main Function
Monitoring the Quality of CPR in Real-time
Resuscitation is a chain that needs to be controlled throughout the whole process. Any interruptions of more than 10 seconds will make a 40-minute resuscitation a foregone conclusion. Thus every second counts in the rescue of cardiac arrest resuscitation.
Automatic Formation of CPR Quality Control Analysis Report
The analysis report can be used to review the whole resuscitation process. Traditional records (such as manual memory and recorder notes) tend to miss important information, while CQT can help us solve this problem. As long as users click on the response button during the rescue, the information will be easily recorded. A detailed report will be generated to give a basis for continuous improvement.
Background
Coronary heart disease has been the leading cause of death in the world. According to statistics, 7,200,000 people die from heart disease every year. Meanwhile, the number of deaths caused by cardiac arrest reaches more than 5,000,000 annually.
Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an important rescue action to save the lives of cardiac arrest patients. The survival of cardiac arrest patients highly depends on the early identification of cardiac arrest, quick response to the emergency medical system and the effective execution of high-quality CPR.
